The S & S Club, Inc was formed in 1974 by Paul Kowis and Robert McAnally as the place to be and be seen on the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s World Championship BBQ Cook-off grounds.In 2008 several members including David Hicks, Mike Chambers, Bob Lubkeman, Joe Oliver, Just Bob Multer, Ron Morris, and Marshall Hensley decided to take the club to the next level and turn it into a non-profit organization allowing its members to give back even more. On July 24, 2009 the IRS and Secretary of the State of Texas confirmed and recognized the S & S Club, Inc as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization paving the road to where we are today

The S & S Club, Inc is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization consisting of an Executive Board of Directors containing a Chairman of the Board Mike Chambers, President Matthew Hogue, Vice President Bob Lubkeman, Treasure Ernie Dries, Vice President of Operations Greg Flores, and Secretary Bill Stork.The Executive Board of Directors is backed up by an Operating Board of Directors who are David Hicks, Ron Morris, Chicho Flores, Kevin Kmetz, Debbie Dries, Ginny Bright, John Williams, Zachary Leviton, Charlie Alaimo, Brian Remkes and James Ellison.
The S & S Club, Inc. also currently has 2 lifetime directors who serve as ambassadors to the team and they are Paul Kowis and Marshal Hensley Finally, the S & S Club, Inc would like to send its gratitude to those Founding Members, Lifetime Directors and longtime friends of the team whom are no longer with us including Robert “Mac” McAnelly and Philip Smith. |
